Aloha!!! My name is Megan Taylor, a passionate, hard working, and dedicated individual on and off the track. Track and Field has been a passion of mine for many years ,and has served as a constant item I work and strive to get better in, yet, my performance on the track is not the only thing I bring to the table. I aspire to one day own my own business, get a degree in accounting or another part of the finance field ,and be able to travel the world capturing memories to last a lifetime. I would love to one day write a book, and have known from a young age that success does not come easy, but I will never stop working to achieve it.
Now, you may be asking, what do I bring to your team? Of course you can look at my stats and see my times and heights I have achieved, but I firmly believe what I bring is more than a mere number. I bring the elements of tenacity, style, and promise to be the best hype girl on the team, as while my individual talents can only bring me so far, I know iron sharpens iron and we must work as one to improve. Some individual skills I possess are the ability to be an eloquent spokeswomen, with much experience and a love for speeches, sports commentating, and podcast!
If I still haven’t convinced you that I am a great candidate for your school ,or maybe you need something more, know I have it. I am a student leader all around my school, serving as the Student council representative for my grade three years in a row , as well as specifically the overall Vice President, PR officer, Spirit lead, and more throughout my time so far. I am also a member of the speech and debate team, girls engineering math and science club, school yearbook, karaoke club, investment club, open house magnet show, and more… so, I guess you could say I am an avid participant in my school and I have a bountiful amount of pride in all I do. Outside of school you can catch me volunteering throughout my community, continuing to build my faith at church, being an active member of Jack and Jill, and owning 3 businesses - both individual as well as in partnership. Volunteering has taught me selflessness ,and brings me joy in seeing my impact in the community. With the pillars in service and leadership, Jack and Jill - a national organization I have participated in since the age of 2 - has taught me teamwork through activities such as Stepping (winning years 2022, 2023) and stage performances for many holidays and events. Owning 3 business , a baking company (acrossthestreettreats) *ownership with neighbor, a custom design company -*sole ownership (XanaApperal)- serving individuals and organizations such as Links incorporated, Junior League, and Jack and Jill of America - and a media company *sole ownership (MeganTStudios) have taught me how to manage money and investment, market myself and my business, and utilize creativity and resourcefulness to solve problems.
