Kira Montefusco '20 Recruiting Profile

I have only been a track Athlete for two years. My 2018 track season was my first. I made it all the way to sectionals in the 100m dash and the 4x1 relay. My team and I were milliseconds away from qualifying for state and breaking my schools 4x1 record. This is when my drive to win really got started. I was new to the sport and I wanted to win. During this time I was still a gymnast. I had not invested any additional time to the track outside of high school practice. Gymnastics had been my main sport for nearly 10 years. Gymnastics is the sport that created my competitive nature and hardworking attitude. This season has been exceptional to me so far. My 4x1 team and I made it to sectionals. Sadly, my 4x1 team did not qualify for state but I did in the 100m. I qualified with my new PR of 12.39.
