My name is Haely Grant. My height is 5' 6". I am 105 pounds. I attend Calvary Day School, in Savannah Georgia. Since elementary school, I knew I had speed, which needed to be used. In middle school, I joined the school track team. I excelled. However, I knew I wanted more out of track and field, so I was determined to convince my parents to allow me to join an AAU track team. I was so determined to the point where I decided to make a slide show. Thankfully it worked, and I joined Coastal Georgia Track Team at the beginning of my ninth-grade year, and still am a current member of that team. This year I made it to the GHSA State Meet with my varsity school team and made it on the podium. I was proud of myself, but because I am my biggest critic, I strive to do better. My determination, which was uncovered at a young age will not only help how I perform but will also bring great energy to the team. Grades are very important to me as well, which is why I have a 4.0 GPA. I have self-confidence meaning I know what I am capable of doing. I am competitive, but I show good sportsmanship, and won't have an attitude if I lose. Losing motivates me. It makes me want to win even more. However, I am optimistic and expect to win, because I know what I am capable of, and I know how hard I train. I accept constructive criticism because it's important to remain coachable.
