My track and field career began before I stepped on the track. I have two older sisters who ran track through college and my mom carried me to all of their track meets. When I turned four years old it was finally my turn. I stepped on the track for the first time to run the 50 meter dash. When the gun went off I started in lane one and somehow crossed the line in lane eight. From that moment to this one, track and field has been my passion.
I have gotten much better and faster since then but I will not forget that first Park and Recreation meet. I have worked hard since I was four years old to excel and I believe my hard work has paid off. I pay attention to what my coaches tell me to do and I do my very best to incorporate their corrections. I work hard for my coaches and when I am competing I want to make them proud. I am also a good teammate. Even as a junior in high school I am a leader on the team and I try to encourage my team mates to stay focus and work hard.
My collegiate goal is to secure a full athletic scholarship and continue to get lower and faster over the hurdles.
