My name is Katelyn, I am a part of the Apalachee High school Track and Cross country team and love being a part of the team for my school. I would like to go to college to study healthcare and nursing. My family has had a number of nurses and it has interested me that there are so many different areas in healthcare and nursing. I have had a passion for running and competing ever since I started, and I would like to continue and run in college. I love being a leader to others younger than me when it comes to running, I’m currently the captain of our xc team and I love helping my teammates accomplish their goals and working together. I love learning from my coaches, I like being pushed to be better. There’s nothing that makes me happier than seeing a new PR or getting a high placement, and it just pushes me to make sure I keep doing that but better for next time. It is important to me that being on the team is more than just times and placement sometimes, when those are very important things being on a team is also being a good person which is the most important goal I have in life. I like being a part of the team, and it feeling like family. I'm interested in finding a school not too far from home, seeing family is important to me.
