I have been running track and field since I was 8 years old. I have been running cross country since I was 10. Running has been a huge part of my life for so long and I want running to still be a part of my life in college. I would be a good candidate for your team because I am always looking to get better and to do the work it takes to get faster. I am sometimes happy with how I do in a race but I still want to get a faster time. In 8th grade I started to run with the high school team and I was getting my best times. It was a great season for me in cross country and track. When I started running back up again freshmen year I started to have breathing problems. I went to the doctor and it was diagnosed VCD (vocal cord disfunction). I had to learn to run with it which added seconds to my time. By the time track started I learned how to control it. It is now sophomore year and I am getting back to where I was in 8th grade and working to lower my time this year.
