Personal Statement
My name is Alyssa Mae Antolin, I started to run track my freshman year, 2016 because students from my high school noticed my potential in running so I then decided to join my school's’ track team. To be honest I’m actually glad that I did because I’ve realized that I do have talent that I couldn’t waste, which made me push harder every track meet to try to beat my personal records. To me running is hard and I do get tired fast but at the same time I believe running track can be fun. Running made me become mentally strong and it helped me become way more socially active than I was. People usually will argue that track is an individual but I think otherwise and after anyone has ran or thrown or jumped I try my best to tell them “good job!” My main goal in track is to improve for all of my times so it’ll benefit my team and I. But of course my academics comes first then athletics, if I have free time it’ll be spent with my family and friends.
