Personal Statement
I have played sports my whole life with almost no off-seasons, forcing me to time manage and prioritize. On top of attending practices, games, my own personal speed training, and other workouts, I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I have been a captain for all three of the sports teams (including soccer, basketball, and track and field) I have been on because of my leadership and example. Communication and chemistry among my teams have led me to state four years in a row in these sports. I have never had a problem getting along with any of my teammates which may be a part of why I love playing sports so much. I have always worked hard and participated in personal workouts and summer activities to enhance my abilities. I improved my track time by almost a whole second last season. This hard work has paid off in rewarding me the first all-state team in soccer and second in basketball. My sophomore year I was unable to participate in track, but I was determined to work even harder the next year. In my junior year, I took the state championship in the 100-meter dash and the girls' long jump, as well as third place in the 200-meter dash. I have a love and passion for sports and plan to take full advantage of any college opportunity in athletics and academics.
