Personal Statement

As a student athlete, I'm committed to pushing myself on the track and in the classroom. I like to challenge myself because it leads to growth. I used to run distance-focused events, with my main event being the 3200,  but this year I made a shift to try and excel in the 800, even getting my school's school record for the event. I not only embraced the change, but continued to dominate, if not more than before. That transition challenged me in new ways and it showed me how much I enjoy adapting, learning, and competing at a high level.

I bring that same mindset in everything I do. I'm driven and coachable. I'm focused on constant improvement not only for myself, but for my team as well. In fact, I run the 4x4 for my track team and we all worked together to earn our school 4x4 record and go sub 4 minutes. I'm the type of athlete who leads by example, values discipline, and thrives under pressure.

Running in college isn't just a goal, but a challenge I'm ready for. I'm excited to contribute to a program that values passion for the sport and team culture.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
