Personal Statement
I aspire to grow as an athlete throughout my college years and contribute to whatever college I go to. I have only participated in track one year in high school and not doing it my freshman and sophomore year was one of my biggest regrets. Accomplishing a 26.50 in the 200 meter dash my first year is a huge achievement for me and this next season my goal is to run a 25.50. The 100 meter dash is also another race I did well in, the first time I ran it I got a PR of 12.60. Our school track is cinder so practicing block work is not an option, and I believe with more practice I can run better than my PR. What can make me a great asset to any track team is that I am willing to try anything, and I never give up. Losing is never an option to me, and I will push myself to my limits in practice and meets. I love cheering on my teammates and seeing them do well, I am often more happy for their success than my own. During my academics in college I want to pursue nursing, helping people has always been a big part of who I am and I know that it is the right path to go.
