Personal Statement
I have been a student-athlete for as long as I can remember. Between being a 3 sport athlete for the past 6 years, doing competitive tumbling for 7 years, and managing to keep straight A’s throughout it all has helped me tremendously with not only multiple life skills, but many life lessons as well.
I believe I would be a good candidate for your team because I love to learn not only in the classroom, but on the field or court as well. I am willing to listen, take direction, and work hard to be the best athlete I can possibly be. I believe what makes me different from other recruits is that I live up to the word student-athlete. I strongly believe in being a student first and an athlete second. This way of life has definitely paid off for me because of my 4.6 GPA, straight A’s since middle school, multiple academic awards, and willingness to push myself to the brink of perfection. The athletic side of my life has also been very fulfilling. I have qualified for State Track my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior year in the Long Jump. I also placed 8th in the state at the 2018 Top Times Indoor State Track Championship. For volleyball, I was recognized as a member of the 2018 1st Team All-Conference, and I was chosen to the All Star Preps- Best of the Rock River Valley Volleyball Team. This team is chosen from 33 different schools, 6 counties, and multiple conferences across the area. It is a huge honor to be recognized alongside 400 other student-athletes representing 24 different high school sports throughout the region.
I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that I have had so far, and for everyone who has helped me get to where I am today. I cannot wait to see what the future holds, and where my collegiate goals take me.
