My name is Chloe Wicker and I am currently a Sophomore at Blackford High School in Indiana. I believe I am a great fit as a college athlete because of my strong work ethic on and off the course, while maintaining a 4.0 grade average. Sportsmanship and putting my team first are most important to me because those responsibilities as an athlete have taught me leadership and humility.
I am a four sport athlete and I have participated in multiple sports since I was a child. Every sport requires running and good stamina. I have learned that distance running is very mental, challenging, and disciplined. I am always setting new running goals, and this will help me reach my goals in life. I am always motivated and ready to improve when it comes to my sports and academics.
My family has been a significant influence on who I have become. My parents are great motivators, and have provided me with proper guidance when it comes to health, fitness and academics.
My academic goals for high school and college are to maintain a 4.0 GPA, be involved in extra curriculars, and continue to challenging myself.
Overcoming obstacles to get where I am today has helped me to grow as an athlete. I started at a new school my freshman year. I was able to adapt by having a positive attitude, meeting new people, and having amazing coaches to push me along the way.
Running cross country has taught me to be a leader, a good teammate and competitor. I understand that college sports are a commitment and hard work. I am more than prepared for this!
