My name is Eleanna Bez and I am currently enrolled as a Junior at Ramstein High School. I started running track my sophomore year and was able to compete on our Varsity Team at the DoDDs European Championship for high jump. Since it was my first year running track, I showed immense dedication learning the proper technique for three events (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and high jump) , as well as participating in a sprint medley for one meet. Previously involved in dance, particularly ballet, I have the mentality needed to take corrections well and apply them. This improved my PR's throughout my season and was what helped me to be a part of our Varsity team, along with the support of my fellow teammates, who helped me along the way. For the off-season of my Junior year I am participating in a local German team in order to improve sprint and high jump form, as well as gain more experience for the upcoming season.
While I have not decided on a major, I plan to focus on either International Relations or Pre-medicine, and plan on being involved in politics or medicine, particularly plastic surgery. I hope to continue running in college while advancing my education, and keep an open mind when applying on colleges. I believe that with dedication and persistence, I will be able to maintain an athletic and academically balanced lifestyle after high school continuing on to university.
I have been involved in many extracurricular activities throughout high school. My sophomore year I was inducted into National Honor Society, National German Honor Society, was the Vice President of German Club, captain of dance team, and manager of Glee Club. My junior year I am also involved in NHS and NGHS, as well as the National Society of High School Scholars, Art Club, Keystone, and various other extracurriculars. I also excel in leadership areas. In 2015, I was a delegate of the International Student Leadership Institute, where I learned key elements of being a leader. I am the Secretary of Junior Class as well.
I believe I would be an excellent candidate for your team because I love working with my teammates and helping them achieve their best. Moving to Germany, I adjusted to both military and German Culture, which has helped me become a more understanding and cultured individual. Even though coaches and recruiters do not often come to Germany to scout, I believe that I would make an exceptional athlete for their schools due my dedication, adaptability to different situations, ease of taking corrections, and hardworking attitude, even when something might seem difficult.NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the exclusive athletic recruiting network that educates, assists, and connects, families, coaches and companies so they can save time and money, get ahead and give back.
