Tanya Masamba '24 Recruiting Profile

Track has been and will always be a major part of my life. My love for track grew after I won the Victrix Ludorum when I was 9 years old. That’s when I realized the talent that I had and I knew that it could not go to waste.  

My goals get bigger and bigger as I tick each goal off of my list. My first collegiate goal would obviously be to make the Track Team. Running for a D1 school has always been a dream of mine, and I know an opportunity like that may be hard to achieve but I truly believe it can be done. I would love to compete in the NCAA championships. Whatever the outcome I would still be so proud of myself as to experience something like that is extraordinary.

I am confident the experiences I’ve been through, the skills that I’ve learned and the drive I have for the sport would make me valuable to the team. I know what it feels like to experience both highs and lows and i believe that I will be able to put in my collaborative effort to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done.
