My collegiate goals are to maintain a 3.5 GPA in my chosen field of study- nursing, and to become a successful thrower while working hard in the weight room and to continue improving my throwing technique. I would like to contribute to the team's success early on by scoring points at meets and eventually winning some of my events. I aspire to become an all-conference thrower with the ultimate goal of placing at a national meet. I also want to be a great teammate on and off the field. Other sports I've participated in are volleyball and basketball from seventh to tenth grade. I have been involved in FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) and have been working this summer at The Lakeside Village, an assisted living center located on Lake Panorama in my hometown of Panora, Iowa. Last year, as a junior, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. I'm also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was confirmed in the church last Spring. I'm looking forward to starting my college career at a place that will be a good fit for me. I want to obtain an excellent education so I can have a fulfilling nursing career, as well as, becoming a contributing citizen of society.
