Olivia Sovereign '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Olivia Sovereign,  I am a Junior and runner at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas. I started running in middle school, and fell in love with the competition and dedication running requires. I have been told I am very coachable and strive to be the hardest worker at practice and competition.  I would love to continue running in college because I think I would flourish in the competitive atmosphere of college athletics. I also cherish the experiences I have from running, such as running in the Kansas High School State meet each season.  My high school cross country team won state during my freshman and sophomore seasons and ended up placing 3rd in the Nike Heartland region, just missing the chance to compete as a team at the Nike Nationals meet.  I had the privilege of contributing to my teams success by being the individual state champion in cross country each of the past two years and finishing second to my teammate as a freshman.  I look forward to the chance to find new limits with college teammates as we work towards shared goals.
