Personal Statement
I would like to pursue Exercise Science and Kinesiology as my field of study. I want later become a elite sports performance trainer and train other athletes to the best of their abilities and push them to be the best of their potential. I would also like to have the background knowledge in athletic training and nutrition, that way I am about to help with most anything my athletes will need. A personized workout to their sport and for what they want to improve on then, if desired for any further questions I am then able to also help with a nutrition plan.
My academics mean as much to me as what my athletics do but, academics always come first. I would say that I work harder than most people do to get the grades I have and do what I want to do with my life. My freshman year I was diagnosed with dyslexia, it has been a difficult time all these years with it, but I know I can do it and I know who I am. Nothing like dyslexia is ever going to hold me back from what I know I can do. It has truely formed who I am and what I can do.
I always remind my self that education is most important, I don't want to be working at a fast food restaurant, or be just a lifeguard for the rest of my life. I want to be more, I want to do something that makes me happy also, where I can help others. This is where becoming a trainer falls in play for my self. I have always been around other personal trainers, most of them have taken me in like family. I love the atmosphere, the aspect, and most have put an impact on my life. I really decided that this is what I wanted to do with my life when I started coaching a little league volleyball team and teaching swim lessons its like coaching and I have found that I love coaching. I love helping others and feeling like I am impacting their lives and feeling like they look up to me.
I am strive for excellence, I feel like this makes me different than most others. I am pushing my self to the best I can be and I'm focusing on what I want. I normally play volleyball but, I didn't this year due to training. I had trained all summer and hit the goals I wanted, so I wanted to keep going and see just how far I can go and how fast and strong I can really be.
