Piper Clark '23 Recruiting Profile

I am originally from Ethiopia, and I have been in the U.S for 8 years. Out of the 8 years, I have been running for 7. I also have experience with other sports such as soccer and volleyball. However, track is my favorite. In middle school, I ran the mile and 800m.  I was more of a long-distance runner due to my previous experience with cross country. Later, in High School I began to enjoy the shorter distances and so I began running the 400m and 200m.

 My current PR for the 400m is 59.92 and my PR for the 200m is 26.85 and I plan to improve these times due to my current training and upcoming season. I have dedicated many years into this sport, and I will continue until I reach my goal.  My goal is to compete at the college level, while earning my Bachleor's in Criminal Justice and I am willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish my goals. 

I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the track. I have kept my 4.0 GPA throughout high school.  Not only that I am part of the National Beta Club, National Honor Society and I also have a part time job.  On the weekends, I attend church with my family, and I teach Sunday school.
