I'm the full package! Great runner, great grades, great attitude.
Freshman year I was part of Louisiana's 5-A girl's State Champion team and even attend the meet as an alternate. Sophomore year, our team won second at state and I got 7th overall. This accomplishment helped me win "Most Improved" on the team. My accomplishments during the season allowed me the chance to run on Louisiana's AAU National team where we won 1st and I was 8th in my age group.
This past cross country season has been extremely successful. I got a new 5k PR, 19:26.7, which is one of the fastest in my graduating class. My team placed 1st in the district, 2nd in the region, and 2nd in the state. Individually, I got 1st for district, 3rd for regional, and 2nd in the state.
Indoor track was a huge success this year. I qualified in the mile, two mile, and 4X800 for our state meet. Unfortunately I was not allowed to run two distance races, but I did race in the two mile placing second with a time of 11:48.67. I also ran in the 4X800, where we placed 4th.
Outdoor track was full of ups and downs, mainly racing in the 1600 and 3200. I was able to PR with a time of 11:34.82 in the 3200at the sate meet which got me 3rd place. I am very excited for next year, my senior year, and plan to make it the best one yet.
Academically, I want to improve my ACT score of 29 to 30+, and maintain my 4.0 gpa (including honors and AP classes) this year.
This will be my forth year as an active member of PRIDE, a teenage leadership organization that encourages a drug and alcohol free lifestyle through education and camaraderie, and my first year as one of the organization leaders.
I am always looking to improve myself on and off the track and I won't stop working until I'm the best I can possibly be!
