Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
My name is An’ya Pollard. I have been doing Track & Field for six years. I have been on Varsity for fours years. My points I have gain, brought me to regional's for 3 years. My goals are to go to college, and run track. While I attend college i hope to earn my Master's Degree in Nursing. The Olympics may even be in question. One thing you have to worry about is me not wanting to sit out at practice when I need to, because I have asthma.
Some may ask, "Why do you include asthma when describing yourself?". Well I include that about myself because that's what makes me who i am today. I am a fighter, I will not give up, and always have a positive attitude. Asthma can make me weak but I aspired to put my self above that. Because that's the characteristics you need to show your team.
During school I’m hard at work to keep my 3.8 GPA. while playing 3 sports, all varsity, and a part-time job. One of the varsity sports I play is soccer and to be honest I had no idea how to play it so I search it up on YouTube. I went to tryouts and made varsity, this year (2018) I’m captain. I’ve done all the sports I could possibly think of but my track is my most loved. That’s all I’ve wanted to do since I was younger. I started track in 7 grade on the jr high team and had been doing it since. I may not sound different from others because I do not give up, I listen well and I work hard, but I can prove to you that these qualities listed about myself are true. If you give me the chance I can show you just how unique I am from other candidates.
