Personal Statement

I foresee my collegiate years as a time of growth for me academically and on a track team.   My field of study will be  Liberal Arts/ Education and I posses the drive and diligence to reach my academic goals.   These strong characteristics  will also contribute to a positive  experience in the competitive atmosphere of collegiate level sports where I can utilize my unrelenting drive to improved my times.   As a hard working team player,  I am committed and passionate about track and field.  My self awareness  and supportive nature  will benefit  a team to reach their desired goals.  This year is my seventh year of indoor and outdoor track,  as a team member I have always been enthusiastic and versatile in the events I have performed in.  The last four years I have narrowed my focus to the 300 meter hurdles which I have excelled at even with a slighter stature then most competing in the event.   As  a year round athlete for track and soccer, I know the dedication and synergy it takes to support a teams success.
