Personal Statement
I am determined to take my running to the collegiate level. At a young age, I was faced with a number of challenging situations. Throughout this, running has been my outlet; allowing to me overcome these situations and contributing to my deep love of the sport. I know it will take a lot of work to get to where I want to be, but I am more than willing to put it in. I am prepared to give this my all. Additionally, I deeply value my education. If all goes according to plan, I will be the first in my immediate family to graduate college. This motivates me to apply the same energy to both my academics and my athletics.
