I love being an athlete! It is good for my mind, body and soul. Although I have a strong desire to become an outstanding athlete, my academics are very important to me as well. I have maintained a GPA of 3.5 and made Honor Roll throughout my High School years. I attribute my strong focus in my academics to ensure my career dreams and goals are met to their full potential. I carry myself with pride, class and grace. I am courteous and respectful to my peers and authority figures. I have an Autistic 10 year old brother that I have had to help my Mom care for. He has taught me over the years to be patient and that NOTHING is impossible. I am a competitor in all aspects of my sport. I would rather be challenged with being behind my opponent during a race so I can stride harder to win. I started my Track and Field career in my Junior year of High School for the Varsity Team. I am considered to be "new" to the sport but since my very first run, I have increased my strength and run times each and every time I run. I enjoy being a part of my Team and contributing my athletic ability to my Team. I look forward to continuing my athletic career at a College level and becoming an asset to my Team.
