Personal Statement
The greatest point in my track career was when my team won league championships in track in 2017 and 2018. We worked as a team to perform the best we could, and encouraged each other to put forth our maximum efforts. This event helped me grow as an athlete, and portray greater sportsmanship. It made me a better team member, and a more motivated athlete.
I aspire to pursue a career in the medical field in the near future. I hope to earn a track scholarship at a school with a prestige medical school, and strong academics. I am a good candidate because I have had a strong love for running since sixth grade, and I get along with others easily. I am distinct from other recruits because I am involved in many extracurriculars in school, aside from track. I am a member of the Dearborn High student council, I have participated in a leadership conference at Michigan State University, MYLEAD, I am a member of the National Honors Junior Society. I am involved with my community. I constantly volunteer at events such as; the Martian Marathon, the Cipriano Race, with the DRMM in Detroit, and with Dearborn High (tutoring, blood drives, set ups). I commit to my priorities, and have progressively learned to manage my time better. I have a strong character according to many of the people I have interacted with. I strive to reach my goals, especially in track.
