I have been running track since I was eleven years old. It was at that time that I realized that competitive running is something that I love to do. I've known since I entered high school that track is a passion of mine, and when I found out that I could run in college, I decided that I would work as hard as possible to do so.
I am a hard worker, striving to beat my records and even try to help others in their own training. I have the ability to block start for sprints, and in long jump I reached a distance of 12' 11" in my first season. I take criticism very well, listening to my coach is what helps me achieve my goals.
In my classes, I work as hard as I do with my sprints, trying to maintain a high GPA to help later in life. I try my hardest even in "easy" classes, and I don't consider any "blow-offs". I also work hard with the SHOC club in my school, which stands for "Students Helping Our Community", to help families in need in my area and, most recently, raise bullying awareness.
I would like to attend a college which will push me, but also interest me so that I am willing to push myself even harder. I would appreciate the ability to work with a close team, and also people who will push me and who I can also push. I would like to have the ability to compete in track and field at high levels. My ultimate goal is to be proud in myself, and make my family and friends proud of me as well.
