I'm 17 years old going into my senior year at Rockford High School in Michigan. I'm a runner at heart and enjoy cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. I run the 5k, 3200, 1600, and 800. My goals and strength have been progressing since freshman year cross country and i hope only to keep getting better. I would love to run for a college team and get scholarships from my future school. A goal of mine is to break 18:00 minutes in the 5k this year during cross country season. During track season i hope to set personal records in all three of my events. By running 55-60 miles a week i hope to obtain my goal for this cross country season. I think with stronger effort in training this year for both cross country and track these goals are quite realistic, it is all up to me mentally. I hope come senior year to have accomplished all these goals by a stretch and move on to my next set of goals for my senior year round of running. As i approach graduation and moving on to college i hope to be at my best level and know that i am only to keep getting better with training and focus. My dream would be to run for a college somewhere along the coast in the south. Top states i would enjoy to run for would be in this order South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, or Georgia. I am keeping an open mind to anywhere else but it would be in my best interest to run for a college in one of those four states. I hope to continue out my running only to keep getting better and help my way through college. The way i look at it is with my gift and ability of running i should put it to use in college and help myself succeed in life. Personally i focus best when i am in a season of a sport so i know that running for college will help me to succeed in my academics but also teach me discipline and how to work hard for what you want, just as high school sports have been teaching me for the past three years.
