Hello! My name is Jordan Craven and I think that I would make an amazing colligate athlete for your program. I love Track & Field and Cross Country with a passion, and all I want to do is get better. This combined with the fact that I am willing to work hard for what I want makes me very coachable.
I currently participate in Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Track & Field at Whitmore Lake High School in Whitmore Lake, MI. I come from a small school and while my coaches are all amazing, none of them specializes in my favorite event: High Jump. To get training, I go to different camps over the summer to get the additional coaching I need to apply to my seasons. While running and jumping are important, my academics are my number one priority.
I think I am very different from other recruits because I love the balance between academic and athletic lifestyles. I am a part of our school's high school robotics team, student council, NHS, and our school's marching band (flag corps). I am also a leader among my peers, shown by the fact that I have been elected to numerous leadership and captaincy positions. I will be a Junior in the fall of 2017 and I already am the Flag Corps Captain, the Cross Country Captain, the Student Council Vice President, and the Robotics Co Captain.
In conclusion, I would be a great asset to your team because of my leadership skills, my academic standings, and my coachable attitude. Thank you for considering me!
