I was introduced to track during my eighth grade year and since then I’ve grown to love the sport, especially high jump and sprints. Having the opportunity to continue track and field in college is important to me, to continue to improve and reach my full potential. I am eager to take it to next level. I am a very coachable athlete. I’ve been a gymnast for nine years and the experience I’ve had in the gym gives me familiarity with taking corrections from a coach and incorporating that with my skills, which translates into track and field. On the track, I am a very competitive athlete that is willing to give it my all in both practices and meets. I’m a very determined athlete as well, I take time during my off-season to train with coaches for the improvement of my jumping. Off the track, I am an approachable person that likes to meet new people and try new things. Academically, I am very determined to give my best efforts in all of my classes and am responsible doing so.
