Personal Statement
Throughout my Cross Country career my times have improved as well as my leadership abilities.
- Have improved every year since starting Cross Country in 5th Grade.
- Currently only train during the Cross Country and Track seasons
- I am a multi-sport athlete so I am not burnt out on any particular activity.
- Base mileage has never exceeded 25 miles per week (a lot of upside potential)
- I was a team captain for Cross Country my junior season, also named a team captain for my upcoming senior season
- First year of running 5k race distance was my 2015 season, a big challenge and change in distance for me but I hope to improve to a 19:30 by next season as I gain more experience and improve race tactics
- My team is very important to me, I like to see everyone succeed, Cross Country is as much a team sport as it is individual, we rise and fall together, always working to improve and support each other.
- I am well rounded academically, I participate in clubs that I am passionate about, active in music, and take as many challenging courses as I can handle.
