Hi! My name is Aubry Weyerstrass. I am a senior at Biloxi High School in Biloxi, Mississippi. I have aspired to be a collegiate athlete since I was a little girl. I love helping others and my goal is to work in the medical field as a radiologist. My plan is to major in radiologic sciences with a potential minor in kinesiology.
I strive for excellence both in sports and the classroom. As a competitive gymnast for 10 years I spent countless hours in the gym. I loved the constant challenge of pursuing perfection and this has carried over to pole vault. In school I like to challenge myself with AP courses, and am a member of Key Club, Campus Security Council, and National Honor Society.
Over the years I have learned the value of hard work, dedication, and teamwork. I have been a part of many teams and enjoy the uplifting experience of being with a group of like-minded individuals working towards the same dream. However, the most important lessons I have learned are perseverance and grit. These lessons were instilled in me many years ago from overcoming an injury to become an all-around state champion in gymnastics. I recognize that nothing is handed to you in life and in order to achieve your goals you must not only work hard, but also outwork your competition.
I will bring these leadership traits to any team I am a part of. I will set a positive example for others to follow and encourage my teammates to be the best that they can be.
