Personal Statement

Hi Coaches, I want to share a little about myself, I began running track a few years ago.  Since then it has become my favorite sport.  As a freshman at Lee's Summit North High School I earned a Varsity letter in the high jump event, but also competed in various other events.  As a sophomore, the track season was cancelled due to covid.    This past season, as a junior I placed 10th at state for high jump.  I'm interested in trying other events, like the heptathlon.  I will be attending the Junior Olympics in Houston for high jump with my club team in August.  

I've also played volleyball since the 6th grade.  I believe track and volleyball compliment each other because they both improve my vertical.  My coaches have told me that I am coachable, have a great attitude and that I always give 100% in practices, conditioning, and tournaments. 

I am happiest when I'm active and engaged with a sport, a team, and competing.  My goal is to play a collegiate sport while at the same time getting a quality education and earning a business degree.  I look forward to meeting and visiting with  you so that we can both learn more about each other and how we can help each other.
