Personal Statement
I am a Middle Distance/Distance runner at Smithville High School, Missouri. Senior XC campaign concluded as a 4 time individual State qualifier. XC team was Conference Champs Junior & Senior year. Team placed 3rd at State in 2012 & 8th in 2013. I was MEC runner-up in 2012 & 2013. Member of the 4th place 4X800 relay at the Missouri Class 3 State meet in 2013. I was All-Conference (MEC) & All-District for Smithville in 2012 & 2013. At Excelsior Springs my Freshman and Sophomore seasons included a Conference Championship 2010 (Conference Record). I was All-Conference (MRVC) & All-District in 2010 & 2011. I was named 1st Team for 2012 & Honorable Mention in 2011 by the Greater Kansas City Cross Country Coaches Association which I take great pride due to being recognized by my peers. Competed at the Cross Country Coaches National Championship with the Brocaw Blazers. Freshman track season: 1st Team All-Conference, Conference Champion (3200 Conference record) and two runner-up (800 & 1600) finishes. Sophomore track season: 2nd Team All-Conference. MEC & MRVC Academic-All Conference for all seasons participated. Smithville High School Honor Roll. Excelsior Springs High School Honor Roll. Currently, my focus is preparing for the upcoming Track season, resolving a ferritin issue, and most importantly, enjoying my final semester of High School. I am hopeful to attend an institution which will afford the opportunity to balance academics and athletics. I am willing to give maximum effort in the classroom and my sport. It is my hope that I can attend an institution that will enable me to reach my full potential academically and athletically.
