Personal Statement
My name is Franky Winebrenner. I am a senior and will graduate in 2012. I currently go to school at Plains High School, in Plains, Montana. I have been on the varsity track team for three years, competing at State all 3 years, competing primarily in the discus. During my junior year I placed fifth at state making me All-state.
I have been throwing the discus since I was a eighth grader and I love it. I love the feeling of the discus as it comes off my fingers and soars into the air, the footwork and time that is needed to make myself better.
I am the first one to get out on the field and set up for the other throwers on my team. As they warm up and begin to practice, I am out in the recieving them and throwing them back. I am a devoted thrower and love every second of it. Honestly I wait all year long for track to get here and when it is here, I spend so much time out their that my friends call me obsessive and say that I am crazy. Isn't that what builds a person? If you are passionate about something then I think why not go for it and give it your all? You have one life and living it to its fullest is up to you.
All in all I am a great team player, and fun to be around. I was awarded Miss Team Spirit this season in Volleyball. I plan on going to a four year college and pursue a Social Work degree. While pursuing my career I would love to throw at the college level. Thanks for helping me pursue my dream! Franky
