Personal Statement

Hi my name is Emily Crawford and I’m a junior at Papillion Lavista High School. Running has been a passion of mine since 6th grade where it started out as something I would do for fun to impress my friends and family. Since then, track has become the sport I love most. My appreciation for running sets me apart from the rest because it keeps me pushing even through the hard days. I would love to run track at the collegiate level because it would be a great opportunity for me to learn and improve beyond my 4 years of high school track. I have big goals for myself in and outside of track. I work hard at practice so I can bring home a state medal in the 400. My hard work doesn’t stop at practice but continues into the classroom where I maintain a 4.2 weighted GPA to reach my goals of obtaining a career in the medical field.
