Personal Statement
Being the only girl sprinter on my team to make it to state my freshmen year was intense. I was soon devastated after competing with upperclassman and buckling under the pressure. The following year I did everything I could, in the three sports that I played (soccer, basketball, and track), to make it back to state and to do better. Throughout that year I learned various lessons: calming down, focusing, determination, and preservation. I finally made it back and became regional champ in the 100m.
My constant motivation comes from wanting to do my best in everything. I plan everything out academically and athletically, and prioritize improving my weaknesses rather that my strengths. I hope to find a college that is well suited for me academically and athletically so that I can pursue my degree in Biology.
