Personal Statement
I think my best qualities as a track athlete is my stamina and mental focus. When people see me they underestimate my strength. I am pretty strong for my size. My main race was the 400. However, for my senior year I think I'm going to move up to the 800.
A huge accomplishment for me was winning states, meet of champs, coming 2nd in New England, and 18th in the nation with my 4 x 400 team. This was an amazing experience to have, especially as a freshman.
I would be a great addition to your team, because I am a hard worker and am willing to do anything to improve in my races. I believe that even though track is a very individualized sport, your team is very important in providing you with support. I pride myself on being the best teammate I can be. I am always willing to help out my team, and I'll be the loudest one on the sidelines cheering for my teammates!
I want to attend a school where I will be surrounded my students just as motivated by me, who will push me to be better. I'm very competitive, so this is great for me. Also, I don't want to be in an extremely large school where classes are so large that they become impersonal in a way. I love to talk with my teachers and professors.
I've always wanted to be a doctor, so I think pre-Med is the major I am most interested in. I really like helping people and it would be a dream come true for me and my family to become a doctor.
I would like to stay in the New England and Northeastern Area, because I don't want to be too far away from home, and I love the New England atmosphere. However, I don't want to be too close to home! I want to meet new people and have new experiences.
