Sara Harris '23 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Sara Harris. I'm a senior at Inter- Lakes High School located in Meredith, NH. I grew up  in this town and have attended ILHS my whole life.  Growing up, I played many sports hoping to find the right ones. I bounced from dance to gymnastics, basketball, soccer, flag football, and several others. It wasn't until middle school in which I discovered the ones I truly enjoy. I ended up continuing both track and soccer throughout my next years in high school.  As each season came, I always aimed to be the best I could be. The most frequent compliment I hear from people always relates to my determination. I have always strived to become good at things I'm not and even better at the things I already do. Something I have always loved about track is the fact that I can compete against myself.  For me , it hasn't always been about beating everyone, but about breaking and setting new limits. 

     This drive to be better has grown to be a feeling I crave. These past few track seasons have only fueled my love for the sport even more.  I wouldn't want this year to be the last time I experience those feelings which is why I wish to pursue track and field in college. Having grown up in the same place my whole life, I have generated an interest in travel. I love the outdoors and I'm interested in experiencing new things. Out of school and sports I enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, boating, and hiking. I love it here, but I'm definitely open to seeing more of this beautiful country! I'm still not set on any specific major yet, although both business and law have always caught my attention. Overall, I'm excited for my future and whatever it may hold!
