Personal Statement
I am a part of the class of 2019 at Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch, New Jersey. I am interested in continuing and expanding my track career at the collegiate level.
Track and field in college was not a consideration of mine freshman year; I had 8 years of travel soccer behind me along with a state title for high school soccer. However, come my first meets, I quickly fell in love with the sport. After winning the 200m at the Central Jersey Group 1 Championships and finishing second in the 400m at the Group 1 State Championships in 2016, I knew I wanted to continue at the collegiate level. Off the track, I am enrolled in multiple AP and IB (international baccalaureate) programs that Shore Regional has to offer. With a 4.0 GPA, along with strong ACT and SAT scores, I am well rounded and can perform under pressure, whether it is athletic or academic based.
