I tried out for the track team in the 7th grade throwing shot put and discus. After the first throw-off to see who made the team, I knew this was something that I wanted to pursue and it has been my passion ever since. I’m now a junior in high school and after winning state titles in both my freshman and sophomore years, I have the confidence that I can and more than ever want to compete at the college level. I see this as an opportunity to pursue my athletic and academic dreams. I want to compete at the highest level possible and reach academic heights that will fulfill a career in speech pathology. I am the type of student athlete that respects my teachers, the game, coaches, and my competition. I am very humble about my successes and bring leadership to my school and my teams. My work ethic is simple: If I am doing it, I will give it my all.
