Tamera Chavez '14 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was younger I was always fast. I remember always racing the boys on the playground and the kids down the road. Little did I know running would become a greater part of me. My goals are to give it everything I've got on the track. I will work and work and work to get the job done and to be able to say I gave it 110% no matter what the outcome may turn out to be. I hope to finish my senior year strong and better my time in every event I run. My current PRs are 12.4 (100m) and 26.5 (200m). I will work hard on and off the track because I am also looking to get a great college education and focus on whatever it may be I decide to major in. I currently hold a 3.7 overall GPA and aspire to further my knowledge. Running track means so much to me so I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove I can do it. I am ready to make it my lifestyle to achieve athletic excellence.
