Zoe Marcus '23 Recruiting Profile

     For the past four years, running has kept me sane. I’m not sure how I managed to get through life before without the world’s best stress-reliever. All jokes aside though, it’s hard to imagine who I would be without track. Through the long runs, tempo workouts, and gritty races, I’ve constantly surprised myself by breaking my boundaries and setting them even higher. For me, one of the best feelings derives from the struggle that comes with running, more specifically, when I’m taking off my spikes and can look back at the fight with pride. I’ve been on the New York Section V State team five times, and have been named All Greater Rochester First Team for three seasons. As a captain of the team, I look forward to my senior year with great anticipation.

     Of course, this drive follows me off the track as well. Academics is one of my top priorities, and holds an equal importance to running. I have a 4.0 GPA, participate in National Honors Society, and am a Student Ambassador. While I’m not entirely sure what field of study I would like to go into, I have interests in Biology and Engineering. A good fit for me would be a college that challenges me in academic rigor and helps me to grow as an athlete.
