Hello, my name is Melodie Whiting and I am currently a 10th Grader. I have been running Track and Field since I was 11 years old, and I have grown a strong liking to it. Running Track while managing my grades has taught me how to successfully organize in order to excel in school and still enjoy my hobbies. Throughout my experiences of running and jumping, it has also helped my determination, as I learned over the years that you have to push past your limits in order to get better and that it is ok to fail.
When I graduate from high school in 2022, I would like to attend a technology and engineering college since I would like to become an Electrical Engineer. I plan to major in Electrical Engineering and minor in Computer Science. So far I am preparing for this by applying to AP classes in my school since I am eligible. Although I have a high GPA, I would love to continue running track in college because joining the track team has not only helped my athletic ability but my academic ability as well. This sport has not only helped me think outside the box, but multitask as well, which prepares me for the future.
