My name is Elizabeth Kemp. Since I began running in fourth grade, my love for running has continued to grow each year. After being cut by the soccer team in Freshman year, my seriousness and strive to do well in track grew tremendously, and I have been a driven and hard working athlete ever since. I am a great teammate, and I never fail to support my teammates through both good and bad races, and I enjoy being an enthusiastic runner both in season and off season. I have also spent my summers running and training in my sleep away camp. As a competitive runner, I believe I am one of the most driven girls I know. I am hard working, and I enjoy being conditioned and growing stronger each day. During this COVID quarantine, I have been running as well as conditioning each day to keep myself race day ready; and strengthen my legs, core, and endurance. As an awarded and recognized student athlete, I believe I perfectly balance my school and running life, and I never let either become a burden. It has always been my dream to run in college, and I believe I will successfully maintain a high GPA, as evidenced by my current 4.28 grade point average. I am so driven that I even got my season best this indoor season while I raced with a temperature due to the flu. I believe competing as a college student will not only help me excel in school and athletics, but in my nursing career and running career in the future as well.
