My interest in Track and Cross Country began in the 7th grade. It began as a casual extra curricular event, which I readily enjoyed and almost instantly began to excel. I enjoyed the relationships and friendships I developed and competing against other rival schools. I love being on a team and being able to push and motivate others as well as being challenged to reach my full potential. It takes discipline, commitment, and hard work in order to improve year after year. I've worked very hard over the years with my teammates and coaches. I've applied the same work ethic to my academics. I am committed to continue my athletic and academic achievements throughout my collegiate career. Some of my athletic achievements include: Participating in the NYSPHAA State Championship Tournament in the sport of XC, winning the sportsmanship award for section 9 and being an alternate for the indoor intersectional relay team at the state meet, I've made the 2nd All-Star team twice, 2014- Team Captain, 26 Varsity medals, 6 Varsity trophies, 1 Plaque (Memory of Michael Ramos; Best female runner), 2 NYS Qualifier Certificates of Recognition, 9 Varsity Letters, 3 Modified trophies, and 3 Modified medals. Academically I am a very disciplined student. I'm a scholar athlete, I have 5 Scholar-Athlete Letters. I've maintained a GPA high enough to place me on high/honor roll. I am part of the Academy of Finance club and completed a paid summer internship my junior year at Crystal Run Health Care. I also am a part of the Red Cross Club. We help out at the few blood drives my school offers every couple of months. Outside of school I have volunteer at the local hospital, Orange Region Medical Center. I would like to study the field of business along with education I'd like to remain relatively close to home, my vow is that wherever the opportunity takes me I am committed to giving 100% effort to my academics and athletics.
