My name is Zoe Crego and I have been running with my family for as long as I can remember. I started out running Cross Country on modified in 7th and 8th grade then moved up to varsity in 9th grade and have loved it ever since. After I had back surgery in the February of my 10th-grade year, and could not play softball anymore, my Cross Country teammates talked me into doing Track and I am so happy they did because the minute I had my first practice, I knew that I made the right decision by switching. My surgery did affect my race times in my 11th-grade seasons, but I have worked really hard, with the help of my coach, to get back to my best, and I am happy to say that I just notched a new PR in my 5K race with a time of 22:05.
