I began running in 6th grade when I participated in a cross country intramural. The next year my gym teacher convinced me to actually try out for the cross country team. I did, and since my 7th grade year I have run all 3 seasons, as well as every summer. I don't know what I would do if I didn't run. My coaches have taught me so much during my time as a runner and I have taken their wisdom and used it to better myself both inside and outside of the sport. I am a perfectionist in many ways and I strive to do my best academically and athletically. I love to try new and different things! I am a very social person and enjoy participating in our school's many clubs as well as serving my community in different ways!
I consider myself a team player. I love to support my team and I can be seen running around cheering everyone on and yelling splits at meets! I set high yet reasonable goals for myself both on the course/track and in school. I ran at indoor nationals my 8th grade year, and, in the time since my first nationals, have gone to state meets for cross country and track, and was able to re-focus myself and head to outdoor nationals my 10th grade year. I am a leader on my team and I believe I have the character and work-ethic to positively impact your program!
