Personal Statement
My name is Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rich and currently a junior at Ticonderoga High School. I am seeking to continue my career throwing the shot in the NCAA after I graduate in 2023. I am a member on my high school team and I consider myself highly competitive in this event. I know I have the ability to be even better with professional training.
I have had a love for sports my whole life. I am also a member on the soccer team as the goalie. I also enjoy playing softball and basketball, but I excel at throwing the shot. I am an avid weight lifter and spend a lot of my free time at the gym.
As a freshman, I won Sectionals and represented Section VII in the state meet. I am excited to see how I perform this year. I was recognized that year as the goalie with the most saved goals in the section. My sophomore year was cut short due to Covid. At school, I am a member of the Unity Club and the Booster Club.
I added links on my page to our local newspaper that covers sports in our region and will have videos uploaded as progress through the season. My goal this year is to hit 40’ by the end of the year.
