My name is Tylyia Triggs, and I am interested in participating in collegiate track and field. I am currently a junior in high school and have been running track for 7 years. I run with Neuse Charter School in Smithfield, NC, and participate on a USATF Jr, Olympics team, Evolution Track Club. While attending high school at Neuse Charter School, I have received many awards for track. Since ninth grade year, I have represented my school in both indoor and outdoor 1A State Championships each year, and achieved all-conference 3 years in row. Although I am proud of my athletic achievements, they would not be made possible without my academic accomplishments as well. I am currently upholding a 4.38 GPA. I understand that running in high school requires me to uphold good grades. This pushes me to want to be both a great leader in the classroom, as well as on the track--what I believe to be a true student athlete.
Thank you for considering me as a possible candidate to attend your college. I am looking forward to competing at the collegiate level, and I hope it is with you!
