I am a dedicated runner and would like to find a program that pushes me to be the best runner I can be. What separates me from other runners is my passion for the sport. I work harder than my competitors and do not complain about it. I live for practice and competition. It doesn't matter if it's boiling hot or freezing cold, I will be out there putting in the work that most people do not even consider doing. I also do research on my competitors so I know how they are running. No matter how hard or how easy the workout may be, I will do it and I will finish it. I am a leader on my high school team. I encourage the team to work hard and push themselves because by working together we all get better.
I am looking for a college program were I can be a significant contributor but that will provide the tools to help me reach my potential as a runner in a setting where I can also further my academic goals. I plan to major in Parks, Recreation and Tourism management. I believe that I can take my passion for running and my love of being outdoors and develop a career when I can engage and encourage others to develop that same passion.

Academic Accomplishments
Honors Classes:
Yes. I have taken honors classes in English (I, II and III so far), History (World, Civics and US), Science (Biology). At first these classes were challenging, but as I take more I am finding that my skills have grown and I am improving the quality of my academic performance, moving from a solid B honors student to an A student in recent honors classes. Next semester I take an honors Art class. Very much looking forward to that.
I have not taken any AP classes, at my school they are just not a good fit for me. To compensate for that, I have challenged myself to complete my high school math requirements by the end of my junior year and I will be taking college math at the local Community College my senior year. I am also enrolled in a high school study abroad program for Summer 2017. I will be studying Irish history in Ireland and should receive 3 hours of college credit for that.
