My name is Ashley Conneran and I will be a senior at Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I have been participating in varsity athletics since I was a 7th grader. Cross Country and Track have been a big part of my life. It has taught me dedication, hard-work and the love for the sport is essential in being successful. I love competing and working hard to be able to preform to the best of my abilities. I also participated in basketball for 3 years. For 2 years, I was voted Most Valuable runner by my cross country coaches and then had the opportunity to be a girls varsity captain for 3 years. I am focusing my senior year on high jump.I also recently attended a track and field camp at the University of Minnesota. I jumped 5'1 at my state meet in May, and recently in June jumped 5'3 at practice with coach Delmore. My goal for my last year competing in high school is to jump 5'5. I participated in triple jump the second half of my outdoor season. Just missing the state qualifying distance of 34 feet. My plan for my senior season is to participate in triple jump and also to qualify.
